This
was my 2nd full season turkey hunting and I have been very
fortunate to get a bird both years. I credit my Boss for getting
me hooked and for teaching me everything he knows about the
sport. He is also the one who suggested that I try Hevi-Shot.
The first photo is of my son who was 7 years old when we got
his first bird. I am using an 11-87 SPS-T 3 1/2" Magnum,
a MAD Super Max Hevi Shot choke tube and #6, 3 1/2"Hevi
Shot Turkey loads. Season was drawing to an end and we had
worked the birds for a long time before they headed towards
our decoys. After covering about 300 yards, the old gobbler
hung and wouldn't come in any closer. Finally, he broke into
an opening and with Dad shouldering the gun, Clay sighted
and pulled the trigger. The tom went down. We stepped the
distance off and it was 56 yards from where we had been sitting
to the bird. I knew that he was out there but had no idea
he was that far. The tom weighed in at 21#, had 24 mm spurs
and a 10 " beard.
This
year, my boss and I had tried several set-ups to no avail.
After each set-up, the birds would appear at our previous
set up or at the opposite end of the field. We finally set
up at the opposite end and waited. At 6:30 a.m, my Boss shot
his tom. We waited and at 8:30 a.m., we were walking out to
inspect my bird. My tom weighed in at 22# 2 oz., 11 3/4"
beard and 23 mm spurs. A laser yardage finder marked the distance
at 47 yards.
In my opinion, Hevi Shot is the real deal and I will never
use anything else. Thanks for a great, tried and true load!

I'm
sending a couple of photos down from my early season (2005)
hunt in the prairie pothole region of Canada. As I mentioned
to you, I had tremendous success with both Hevi-Shot 6's and
Hevi-Steel 4's. Both loads did the trick on mallards (decoying
and passing) and and on large, decoying geese.
After the first few days of shooting these 12 gauge loads,
I put my 10 gauge away as it no longer offers the advantages
that it once did. Thanks for putting out such awesome loads.

Erin
shot this bird with Hevi-Shot at 19yards. He was 17lbs with
a 5 inch beard. She called him in with a Primos Spring Hen.
She was using her Mossberg Bantam 20gauge that she won at
a N.W.T.F. banquet. She now knows what the rest of the hunting
world knows: If you shoot Hevi-Shot, you shoot to kill.

Michelle ,Krista {my 11 yr old daughter}
and I hunted this evening! I been asked on several occasions
why I carry so many calls? My answer is this" yotes are
like fish ,one minute they're biting one lure the next they're
biting another"! I've been calling allot of yotes with
the "Screamin' demon",tonight they switched on me
and were coming to a call made by Tony Tebbe called the "Dog
Duster"!
We
were running out of light quick we set up I started blowing
the "dog duster" again and within a minute I could
barely make out a yote coming my way! I centered his chest
with my 870 and pulled the trigger ! the combination of an
extra full trulock choke and "Dead Coyote" knocked
him flat at 38 yards! all four legs were shattered and his
chest looked like someone had filled him full of .22 shells!
there was another yote with him but I didn't see it until
the shot then all I could see was it leaving!

On
5-5-05 I took this turkey using Hevi-13 shot # 6s.The shot
was at 65 yards and I droped him like a hot rock.He was 20
to 22 pounds had a 8 1/2 in beard and 1 3/8 spears.I want
to thank the people at hevi shot for making a great product.I`m
looking forward to waterfowl season this year.I think that
everyone should give Hevi shot a try and I don`t think you
will be disapointed.

| I
first want to thank you for the shells that
you sent me. We had talked at the shot
show and you sent me a box out of your personal stock. Thank
You. This was my third year of hunting turkeys without much
success but my luck has changed. The stats on the bird are:
25 pounds, 10-1/2 beard, and 1-1/2 spurs.
I would have been just as happy with a Jake but I will live
with this one. The shells worked flawless, at sight in I had
42 pellets in the vitals and at twenty yards it put this big
boy on his back. Thanks again for the chance to use your shells
and keep it up. I even have been told that some folks out
here our using them for coyote hunting a
nd
have been having good results.
Thank
You

Long
time friend and hunting partner Regi Rowe and I hunted 5-21-05
we started early because it was supposed to get really hot
today{by 10 am it was 91}! I had just gotten a new predator
supreme decoy and I wanted to try it out! regi had a new scope
on his shot gun that he wanted to try as well .we made 2 stands
with no response,so we moved to another area with wheat fields
ready to be cut and several wet drainage areas! we set up
on the upwind side of the drainage areas on a tank dam and
started calling, with a hadels GHJ jackrabbit call . within
minutes we had a yote literally bouncing towards us! he traveled
about 300 yards in that fashion ,within about 100 yards I
could tell he had spotted the decoy and was trying to get
in low grass to cut around to get at it! as soon as he hit
low grass he caught me moving the camera { at that point I
was directly behind the decoy} he turned to run and in the
second high bound back into the wheat field regi shot and
he dropped ! it was a 43 yard shot with a mossberg 12ga. and
hevi shots "dead coyote" load dropped
him dead!

Thanks
Again!

| Hevi-Shot's
"Dead Coyote" is without question, the most effective
shotgun load for predators on the market today. Hit's harder,
denser patterns, more penetration, and longer range that anything
out there. Thanks for such a great product. Byron

Saturday,
March 27, 2004-SC youth day
Hunter with me on his first ever gobbler hunt - I've been more
nervous the past 2 days for this moment than I can ever remember!
We arrive at the main gate by 5:30a. A very thin, moor-like,
blanket of fog covered the field as the eastern horizon began
to show a hint of pink and the whippoorwills cry filled the
air. 5:40a
we were cutting through a strip of pines to enter the NE section
of the property when I felt the woods gremlin tap me on the
shoulder. "hunter, I need to take care of some business
here a minute...I'll be right back". Hunter waited for
me on the hidden dirt road. In a moment or 2, I hear him whispering
for me "DAD"..."DAD"...."DAD"
What?
"I just heard a turkey gobble". He pointed N of us
to the timber in the general direction we were headed. We both
grinned. The gobbler(s) were roosted right where we'd hoped
they'd be.
5:45a there are at least 3-4
gobblers gobbling in the timber just slightly NW of our position
along the big flat. We were set up and ready by 6a - the birds
are gobbling A LOT! The 6a cargo/freight trains were very busy
today - they fired their whistles at every crossroad, and today
seemed like there were 10 times as many crossroads as before.
Between the trains, the Canada geese the crows and the turkeys
gobbling - it was, to say the least, rather loud!! Most every
time the gobblers sounded off, Hunter looked at me and grinned
- he wasn't having any trouble hearing these birds for sure...matter
of fact, he heard a few that I didn't...gotta love those young
ears!
6:17a - it sound like the gobblers
all have a bunch of hens with them...they're starting to fly
down. The birds are certainly still bunched up. I've called
just enough this morning to let the gobblers know we're here...I
can't really say that they've answered me at all - they're still
certainly flocked up...my only chance is to be patient and hope
they break up a bit after fly down.
6:23a birds gobbled again in
the timber directly in front of us - maybe 150 yards out. A
bit closer. This activity went on for another hour plus - we
ended up hearing several more gobblers all around us. 1 of them
gobbled 2-3 times on his own MUCH closer. When he gobbled that
close and that loud - hunter looked at me, rather startled,
and said "Holy Crap!" Gee, I wonder who taught him
that phrase? Later on in the morning, I finally got some of
the hens to answer me...
By my best estimate, we've had anywhere from 5 to maybe 8 gobblers
in all directions around us. I started to get up and move twice,
but thought against it. Today's game needs to be patience -
don't force anything to happen - just let the morning play out.
8:23a W gobblers sound off on
their own - still in the timber W of us - seems like in about
the same spot - great! They're still there and we're still in
the game! I soft called just to say "we're still here".
8:25a I see 2-3 turkeys coming
around the corner of the treeline SW of us. Hunter is WIDE -EYED
taking this all in. The first 2 turkeys looked like jakes, the
3rd looked bigger - the 3rd one veered to his left - that's
when I saw his long beard! YES! 2 jakes and 1 longbeard 80 yards
away. I clucked and purred on the single reed and they headed
our way. I grabbed the shooting stick as the gobblers eased
in from our left. Hunter got ready, gun on his shoulder, resting
across my wrist on the shooting stick - just like we'd down
so many times before while squirrel hunting.
The gobbler stopped. Hunter could see him to the left of big
slash pine about 32 yards away.
I whispered to him - can you see him?
Yes.
Put the ball on the shelf and
keep it right on the base of his neck. Are you on him?
Yes
Stay on him. When I call again,
he'll raise his head up even farther trying to find us. When
he does...just squeeze the trigger. I eased the safety off for
him.
OK dad.
I clucked 2-3 times on the single
reed and the gobbler raised his head as the 2 jakes looked on
farther to the left of the big gobbler. Just as the gobbler
raised his head...
BANG!
Got him! Hunter said.
I said - you did it! You did it! You got him! Way to go Hunter!!
The gobbler dropped and hardly moved & we were out of the
blind in a flash. We hugged each other tightly and spun around
in 2 or 3 circles. Hunter's smile was huge! He looked at me
and said quietly - "Dad, is this BOB?
We sat and admired the gobbler
- the colors, the spurs, the head - everything and just soaked
in the moment. We said a quick prayer to thank Jesus for this
moment. "Thank you Lord".
On the way back to the vehicle
we stopped at the cut through road against a big slash pine
in a cool shady spot. I asked him what he would remember the
most about todays hunt - he said "taking the shot right
after you called". I asked him what sound he will remember
from today's hunt - he said "all the train whistles and
all the gobbling".
Yep
- a day to remember for sure

Folks,
Both my son Joseph Lang and I were successful with Hevi-Shot
on big gobblers this 2005 season. Both of us took afternoon
birds, mine on May 5th (24 pounds, 1-1/4" spurs, 10-1/2"
beard) and Joseph on May 14th. We both were using Hevi-Shot
12 gauge, 3", 1-1/2 ounce #6's out of Remington 11/87's.
Joe's shot was particularly impressive as we were in heavy gnarly
brush with the tom in full strut and his fan facing us. The
hen that was with him spotted us and after two panicked putts,
sped away. The gobbler remained in full fan and quartered only
slightly still facing away from Joe. We both realized that he
was about to drop his fan and bolt on us. Joe took the offhand
shot hitting him in the back of the head through 25 yards of
the thick stuff. He went down like a bag-o-bricks! That's the
best turkey shot I had ever witnessed. This whole episode that
seemed to take forever took under ten seconds!
Thanks in great part to Hevi-Shot, my son and I bagged late
season trophies. Joe's bird weighed 22.2 pounds, had 1-1/8"
spurs, and sported a 10-1/2" beard. Attached are a couple
of pictures of Joe's bird. Thanks again for your fabulous products
that clearly have swung the pendulum in the favor of the hunter
once again. Now we can hardly wait to chase ducks and geese
this coming fall with, what else, Hevi-Shot!

Your
company turned our shotguns from 40 to 50 yard guns to true
100 yard plus guns! "Dead Coyote!" as the picture
shows is exactly what it is! I bought a half case of 3"
and also 3 1/2" to start with. To tell the truth some
of the guys thought I was nuts to spend that much for some
shotgun shells! Wee, after a week of coyote hunting and
one guy (I won't me mention any names) killed a coyote a
day (three days that week) with multiple coyotes, at ranges
that before were always considered "luck shots".
Well, as I stated to those skeptics, how many times do I
have to shoot the coyotes at 90, 100, or 100 plus yards
with this new shell before it is no longer considered luck?
It didn't take long before we went back and bought the other
half cases that were at our sporting goods store.

& Jody,
Thanks so much for the shells. Here are some
pics of our goose hunt after I received the 20ga #2's. They
were awesome, I had a couple of long shots but Hevishot did
the job. They definitely made the difference in our hunt and
in how many geese we brought home. Thanks again for all your
kindness and help and also for such a great product. When
you hunt to fill the pot, you better take Hevishot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I
have been placing Hevi-shot poster on my walls as I get them,
along with a few of my latest gobbler fans. I am responsible
for some of your sales in central Pennsylvania. I been actively
promoting your products since I first patterned it in my 11-87
Remington, almost three years ago. I have spent a considerable
amount of time and money doing my own patterning and research
of not only Hevi-Shot but also other shot shells. I don't
need to tell you but I have found none that compare. As you
can see from the picture my office has turned into a promotional
campaign for Hevi-shot as well. You will notice in the picture
my wife even took one of the shirts I purchased and framed
it with the back logo out. My Hevi-shot Power Cystal is one
of the latest additions to the wall. My co-workers are always
wondering in and out checking out the posters as well as vendors
who visit the site. I see you have a poster that has a coyote
with the words "I did not come this far to miss",
I would like to get a copy of this if it is available, as
well as any other items you may have available as they come
out, to display. Thanks!

Here
in VA, there are several counties for deer season that require
shotguns and buckshot only. This past year, I took two deer
utilizing your 3" #00 buckshot, and dropped each one
of the deer with one shot. I have a gun capable of shootin
3 1/2's, and would love to have that kind of fire power in
a 3 1/2" shell. Please tell me you are planning to develop
some 3 1/2 buckshot! I would buy it by the case.
Although,
the 3" are not bad at all!!
