September honkers

I am pumped up to hit these local birds here in the next few weeks with some hevi-shot loads. I have about 50 birds in a field right now that are gradually growing in numbers as the weeks pass which is nice to see. They are starting to create on big flock I think. I'm planning on digging some Power Hunter blinds in the ground a little bit gettin all the long grass in these fields cut and brush my blinds up a day before we go and hammer some honkers out here in Washington State. Whats your guys game plan for this years early season?

I've gotten some new decoys this year and just got a new goose call. I'm ready for Sep 10th and the start of our early season. Will practice on a few dove come Sep 1st however.

Game day starts here in minnesota tomorrow sept 3rd,not really many birds near my field just yet but once the local weekend warriors get out in force they'll push the small groups around and hopefully my way,the sweet corn fields are coming down so that will help bring more birds in forsure.

Checked in on one area yesterday and was shocked to see close to 400 bluewing teal enjoying the mid day sun.
