I just tried a Pure Gold IC in a Browning Maxus. Don't let the IC fool you I am getting 93% patterns at 40 yards with Rem Wingmaster HD #4 and 93% @ 40 with Win Xtended Range #2. I have the MOD choke from them ordered

what do you think, 4s or 2s in Hevigoose(or Wingmaster HD) for pass shooting?
and
Hevimetal BB or BBB for shots out to 50 or so?

I shoot a 870 12 using a trulock mod PH12710 I get a 70% with Hevi-Metal 3.5'' BB 1.5 oz load. Check out trulock chokes...

Buy a Trulock Super Waterfowl choke tube from www.trulockchokes.com they are designed for extreme range waterfowling. If you are not satisfied send it back within 60 days & George Trulock will set you up with another choke for your hunting or your $$$$. Its hard to beat that kind of service ! Looking for a long range choke tube.

Been looking at Patternmaster Long range, Kicks High Flyer X-Full, HEvishot extended range.

WHat are your opinions on these. What do you recomend.

We would be hunting open water. I will be either using HEvishot or Remington Wingmaster(which ever patterns best out of my gun). Hunting mostly mallards. Which shot size should I use? I was thinking #2s?

Any advice is appreciated.

Rem Wingmaster HD 3.5'' 1 3/4oz #2 shot will consistantly kill any goose or duck at a max range of 80 yards out of a cheap Remington 870 Super Magnum 12 gauge constricted down to .690/.040 extra full. However I do not suggest an inexperienced/weekend waterfowl hunter to try this. It takes many seasons & trigger pulls at the skeet range to be able to consistantly do this. I still don't have it mastered...as a guide in SW Louisiana.
