Orders

Vista Outdoor Sales LLC is a subsidiary of HEVI-Shot that processes sales orders for HEVI-Shot.
Upon receipt of an order, you will receive an order acknowledgement with an estimated sales tax. Upon acceptance of the order, the estimated tax will be adjusted to the actual tax and the charge will be revised accordingly.
We do accept gift cards, but for security measures, some gift card sellers require the recipient to activate the card before it can be used. Though stores often activate gift cards at the cash register, online gift card sellers generally require the recipient to activate the card once it is received in the mail or via email. If your gift card does not work online, check to see if it needs to be registered before use. Registration usually involves linking a name and billing address to the prepaid card. Though you generally are not required to register a gift card in order to use it in stores or restaurants, the process is important if you intend to use the gift card online.
All ammunition and components sales are final.. While ammunition and component items are not eligible for return, we are committed to your 100% satisfaction. Please contact customer support for more information.

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours after they were placed. We will do our best to accommodate your request after 24 hours, but please note once your order has begun to process in our Distribution Centers we are unable to cancel. Once orders are cancelled, payment pre-authorization related to the order will be cancelled as well.

Orders cannot be cancelled after they have been shipped. If you need to cancel an order after it shipped, please refer to our Returns policy.

For general merchandise, please contact customer support and let us know how we can help fix the problem.
HEVI-Shot is constantly improving and updating our packaging and products, so the packaging you receive may vary in appearance from what is displayed online. However if the item number on your product matches what you ordered on the website, the actual product is the same.

Try your local dealer. We get many requests for sponsorship and do not have the resources to support them all. Our efforts are focused on national strategic sponsorships among our current partners in the industry. You can request a donation by completing a Contact Us form and selecting the subject Donations.
Contact your local hazmat facility. Each state, county or city may have different regulations for proper disposal.

Ammunition should be stored in the factory carton or package. The labeling and identification on the original package helps to ensure proper future use. Ammunition should be stored in a locked closet or cabinet in a cool, dry area away from children, and away from firearms. Obviously, poor storage conditions, such as a humid or corrosive atmosphere, could cause product damage immediately.

The shelf life of properly stored ammunition is approximately 10 years.

If ammunition is exposed to fire or if ammunition is older than shelf life, contact your local authorities for assistance with proper disposal.

When there is a concern regarding our ammunition, we request that you please call us at 541-367-3522 with your Name, Address, type of ammunition, type of failure, and the firearms used.

Once we receive this information, we will forward it to our ammunition plant so that we can send you a prepaid shipping label, and all appropriate packaging materials to send the ammunition back for testing.

We will contact you once our evaluation and testing have been completed to determine the best course of action in order to resolve this issue for you.

As HEVI-Shot does not provide all of the possible external ballistic data on each projectile we offer, we do recommend a book by the Title “UNDERSTANDING FIREARMS BALLISTICS” by Robert A.Rinker. This book can be purchased from Amazon.com. The ISBN number is 0-9645598-4-6. This book has in-depth ballistic information as well as formulas that will assist you in finding the information you require.
